02/05 :  Carol Singing at Lakeside

   This was another year where the performance by the Graham James choir was received by the shoppers at Lakeside Shopping Centre with lots of applause. We had a better location this year, on the ground floor at the North end. The music teacher had trained them well, and they gave an excellent performance again this year. All the passing shoppers, and those leaning from the gallery, were delighted to watch and hear the children in the choir, as did our collectors. We were able to collect the sum of £293.20 which will be used to assist the people in Thurrock and Basildon who have Multiple Sclerosis. Our special thanks must go to the children who sang and played with such enthusiasm. Thanks also go the school staff and parents who helped bring this event about. Our thanks must also go to all the shoppers who contributed to our collection.
